As Coronavirus spreads throughout the world, people are scrambling to find ways to protect themselves from getting sick.
While we are not claiming to be health practitioners, we want to give you basic tips on how to protect yourselves from the Coronavirus pandemic.
Good hygiene and social distancing remain the top two tactics.
1) Wash your hands frequently
Regularly and thoroughly wash your hands using soap and water or clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer ( when soap and water aren’t available )
The things you should do to protect yourself from the Coronavirus are the regular things you should do every day. The no 1 thing you can do to prevent any ‘respiratory illness’ is to practice good PERSONAL HYGIENE.
2) Stay at home
It is obvious that some people don’t have the luxury of working from home. Some people are only able to sustain themselves and their loved ones by selling every day or engaging in daily commercial activities….and will probably find this unfavorable. Some of us still have to go out to the grocery stores….we all have to survive this pandemic.
Be that as it may; our health should be our utmost priority, let’s keep ourselves safe by staying at home….this also helps us beat this pandemic faster, and the sooner we beat this, the sooner we can get back to our regular activities! #Together We Can Beat This!#
3) Boost your Immune System
As it is known; the best defense against any disease is a STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEM!
Your body is better able to fight off illnesses when your immune system is really humming. Everyone should put in the effort to boost their immune system.
Nutrition is really the basis for a good immune-boosting plan.
Exercise regularly, probably 3 to 4 times a week ( it doesn’t have to be so intense). Apart from exercise, a good night’s sleep is another way to keep your immune system humming

4) Try to stay calm
In addition to your physical health, you should take care of your mental health.
High stress levels can take a toll on your immune system which is the opposite of what you need at a time like this.
Step outside and get some fresh air and sunlight. Take the time to read the books you put away for a long time. Spend time to enjoy your favourite TV programs. Engage in activities that help you feel relaxed.
5) Remain positive
It is very easy to get swept up on the ever increasing amount of information available online, and let’s not also forget the fear factor and the misinformation from social media. Your best bet is to get your information from the actual health organizations that are investigating the issue firsthand.
In the midst of all of this….remain positive. Amid the great uncertainty, humour can be a reprieve. Spend time focusing on stuff that lifts your spirit, and not what keeps you feeling helpless and defeated!
Stay in touch with friends and family ( by calling or using social media). There are also various contents online that can make you laugh ( online jokes and comedy skits) to give you the much needed distraction.
